At Harbour Yoga Studio we believe the quality of teaching shapes everything. Every teacher here is fully qualified, committed to ongoing training, and dedicated to making yoga accessible and meaningful for students at every level — including beginners, expectant mothers, and those working through injuries or stress.

Maya Collins

Founder and Lead Teacher

Maya Collins founded Harbour Yoga Studio to bring thoughtful, inclusive yoga to the Brighton community. She leads Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Beginners, and Pregnancy Yoga classes, drawing on years of study and a genuine belief that yoga is for every body.

Maya's teaching style blends careful anatomical awareness with an encouraging, unhurried atmosphere. She takes time to offer modifications and hands-on guidance so that each student feels supported, whatever their starting point. Her Pregnancy Yoga sessions reflect additional specialist training in prenatal practice, ensuring expectant mothers feel safe and well cared for throughout.

When she is not teaching, Maya continues to develop her own practice and keeps her knowledge current through regular continuing professional development.

Our Pregnancy Yoga sessions are led by a teacher with specialist prenatal training, ensuring the safest and most supportive experience for expectant mothers.

Questions About Our Teachers

Some things students often want to know before booking.

Are the teachers qualified to work with beginners?

Is Pregnancy Yoga taught by someone with specialist training?

Yes. Pregnancy Yoga sessions are led by Maya Collins, who has undertaken specialist prenatal yoga training. She understands the particular needs and contraindications of pregnancy and will ensure you feel safe and well supported throughout.
